Julia Oldham takes on the storefront gallery at Art in General. In her video installation called "The Timber," Julia creates a visual and symphonic wonderland. She explores relationships between humans and invertebrates in singular performances that all coalesce into the final installation. In the videos, Julia creates her own bug-like ritualistic movements and patterns in space that are then edited to better take on inhuman qualities. The resulting installation is transfixing and raises many questions about our relationship to nature.
