These powerfully delicate drawings leads the viewer across the chasm that falls between reality and fantasy, crossed only by imagination and sentimental longing. Another parallel that Crump explores is the relationship between the solitary nature of the artist’s studio practice and the lonely frontiersman moving through the unknown.
