Featuring: William Crump

William Crump is a NYC-based artist whose latest series of works on paper were inspired by an odd sign for a Christian ministry that he saw on a street corner while on a visit to Seoul, Korea.

These powerfully delicate drawings leads the viewer across the chasm that falls between reality and fantasy, crossed only by imagination and sentimental longing. Another parallel that Crump explores is the relationship between the solitary nature of the artist’s studio practice and the lonely frontiersman moving through the unknown.

Lonesome Ghosts
, his recent solo exhibition @ LittleBird Gallery was reviewed in the LA Times and he is currently showing in Manifest Destination, a two-person show with Andrew Prayzner @ Tiger Strikes Asteroid in Philadelphia…on view until July 31.
